On my third driving day from San Francisco to Charleston I encountered a bit of weather. A storm front was hanging out over the central United States from Minnesota down to Alabama and was several states wide. My only option, if I wanted to be in Charleston by January 9th as planned, was to drive through it.
Lucky for me, the first half of the day's drive through Dallas and Little Rock was a breeze. But just outside of Memphis I found myself with big, sloppy, fat flakes raining down on the road. It kept up for the rest of the drive. Other than being pretty tense and wired by the time I reached my AirBnB in Nashville, the roads stayed clean and all 4 of my tires stayed out of the ditch.
